FAQ's for Advisors

WILL I BE ABLE TO ASSIST MY STUDENTS WHILE THEY PREPARE FOR THE CASE?

No, only the four participants of each team will be allowed to work on the case material. Your student team may not consult with non-team members during preparation of the case analysis or on the day of competition. This rule applies to any non-team member, i.e. staff, ambassadors, other students/faculty. Only the four participants of each team will be allowed to work on the case material.

WHAT AM I ALLOWED TO DO WHILE THE COMPETITION TAKES PLACE?

You are welcome to observe presentations in the presentation rooms at your choice.

WILL I RECEIVE A COPY OF THE CASE?

You will receive a copy of the short case on the presentation day, and for the long case study, you will receive a copy after the Advisors Trip.

HOW MANY TEAM MEMBERS ARE ALLOWED PER TEAM?

We allow four undergraduates to participate in the competition.

Who can be a Faculty Advisor?

A team Advisor can be a university professor, alumni, or in any other way related to the university they are representing.

ARE ADVISORS ALLOWED TO ATTEND ALL PRESENTATIONS?

Advisors are welcome to attend all presentations within their assigned division.

FAQ's for Participants

WHAT SOFTWARE IS USED DURING THE COMPETITION?

The presentation computers will be installed with Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint is required during presentations. We kindly ask all competitors to save their presentations, both in PowerPoint 16:9 format and as a PDF file.

WHAT INTERNET CONNECTIVITY WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO AT THE HOTEL?

The hotel has wireless connectivity.

WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO A PRESENTATION CLICKER?

Yes, during the preliminary and final rounds, teams will be provided with a presentation clicker.

SHOULD I BRING MY OWN LAPTOP?

Yes, you are required to bring your own laptops, as we will not be providing them.

WHAT PERIPHERAL EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?

Please keep in mind that Serbia uses a 220V electricity system. If any of your equipment is programmed to function with a different system, please bring your own converters and adapters. Also, if you use an Apple Mac laptop, you will need a VGA adapter.

WILL WE NEED TO BRING OUR OWN SUPPLIES?

Teams will be provided with a small packet of office supplies (pens, papers, highlighters, flip charts, markers, etc.) to help them prepare their case analysis. If you anticipate having special needs as you prepare, please bring those items with you.

Do we need to arrive earlier or stay longer than the official schedule?

Arriving before the official start or staying after the competition ends is not required. If you choose to do so, any additional accommodation costs must be covered by your team.

Will we have a person who will guide us through the competition and our stay in Belgrade?

Yes, every team will have a designated Student Ambassador who will be there for you the entire time, give you support and guide you through the competition and your stay in Belgrade.

WILL AIRPORT TRANSFERS BE PROVIDED?

Airport transfers will be organized for all participants and advisors upon arrival in Belgrade. Please note that departure transfers will not be provided, and participants are kindly asked to arrange their own transportation to the airport when leaving.

WHERE DOES THE CASE SOLVING TAKE PLACE?

The case solving session will take place in designated Premium Collection Rooms at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Old Mill Belgrade. All participants will remain in their assigned rooms for the entire duration of the case solving period.

HOW WILL TRANSPORTATION BE ORGANIZED DURING THE EVENT?

Organized transportation will be provided for all BBICC-related events. If participants wish to travel outside of the official program, public transportation in Belgrade is free of charge. Alternatively, taxis can easily be arranged through local ride-hailing applications.
